Description Knut Radloff CLA 2002-12-13 20:28:05 EST
build 20021210

When I deselect all files in the validateEdit prompt and press ok to proceed
the return status is !OK. This is the same status as when pressing cancel.
This leads to strange behavior when processing multiple files, some of which
may not need to be validated.
Deselecting all files in the prompt only means that I do not want these files
processed. I still want other files processed.
Pressing cancel means I want to cancel the operation with no files processed at
all.
For callers of validateEdit there is no way to distinguish between these two
scenarios.

I believe the prompt is from the VCM pessimistic provider plugin.
We discussed this and the conclusion was that the validateEdit is an all or
nothing operation. It is not valid to deselect just some of the files and
expect to continue with the operation.
Platform UI changed the copy/move operation accordingly. I believe this bug can
be closed.

Closing.
