The keystroke for 'comment' is Ctrl+/ -- other editors use Ctrl+Shift+/ to do the uncommenting (or Ctrl+? depending on how the runtime environment treats it). The ? character is above / on most keyboards so Ctrl+Shift+/ is approximately the same as Ctrl+? It would be helpful if Eclipse supported this uncomment keystroke, as Ctrl+\ is not as obvious as Ctrl+Shift+/ would be.
With the new keybindings, this should be trivial to add. Can this bug either be closed RESOLVED/LATER if it's not going into 2.1, or put in as a keybinding? Of course, I've added this myself manually, but people may be more inclined to try Ctrl+Shift+/ to perform the opposite of Ctrl+/ and on some keyboards the \ character is located in a not great position.
Well the problem is that on some key boards (e.g. Swiss German) the '/' character has to be typed in pressing Shift key + [7,/] key. See also bug 46203. It's not exactly a duplicate the Comment key binding will definitely change. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46203 ***
