Create a brand new task for Trac via Mylyn 2. "resolve as" has no drop down box. But: 1. any existing and already created task before I moved to the new Eclipse 3.5 can still be resolved More information: I just installed the J2EE version of Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) with Mylyn 3.2 (it already comes bundled). Then I re-connected to my Trac repository. Trac has two changes from standard: - Master ticket hack - I added another attribute to the tickets. Strangely, these two items work just fine Workaround for right now (VERY ANNOYING): 1. Click on web link for Trac ticket via Mylyn 2. Change Trac ticket via web site 3. Sync up ticket in Eclipse
Which version of Trac and the XmlRpcPlugin are you using?
I have been able to reproduce this with Trac 0.10 and an XmlRpcPlugin version 0.0.2.
I'm experiencing a similar issue, except that things are much worse here: after synchronizing incoming changes all radio buttons are blank, no descriptions, no drop downs, nothing, only the buttons. Trac: 0.11.4. XmlRpc: 1.0.3 (r6064) Mylyn Connector: Trac 3.2.0.v20090617-0100-e3x OS: Fedora Linux 10 x86_64
Marco, that sounds like a separate problem. Are there any messages in your trac log?

(In reply to comment #4) No, no messages. I tried to grant more permissions to the trac user just in case (TICKET_ADMIN and TRAC_ADMIN) but nothing. The problem on my side started in the same way as this issue, I've received a new ticket and saw that the resolution drop down was missing, then I've re-synchronized the task and all button descriptions disappeared. That's why I think it is related.
I am fairly sure that this bug is specific to older versions of the XmlRpcPlugin. Does your repository have a customized workflow?
I just updated my XmlRpcPlugin to the latest version, and that SOLVED the issue! Thanks for trying to figure out what was going on. I thought of making sure that Eclipse and Mylyn were all up-to-date and in sync, but I didn't think to check the Trac plugin itself... BTW: I am using Trac 11.2.1, and now XmlRpcPlugin 1.0.5 (instead of an older one...) I hope that also solves Marco's issue.
I've updated XmlRpc to the latest version and all is working again (including the button labels), I tought that I was running the latest version, thanks for pointing that out. May I suggest to specify what is the latest XmlRpc revision that works with Mylyn in the New & Noteworthy page ? I see that most changes were made these days so one may think that it has the latest version but it is not. The revision I've installed is r6106.
Thanks. I wasn't aware that there were problems with particular XmlRpcPlugin versions. I'll add an FAQ entry and a check in the code.
Also with the latest version of the XML-RPC plugin the "Resolve as" Action does not allow to select the resolution; this is valid here for all opened/reopened tickets.
