I am debugging hello world on Ubuntu linux with gdb 6.8 with dfs.
After program exists Process shown as exited, but gdb target still "running",
so launch is not terminated. It is only ends when I terminate it manually 
using terminate button.

This behaviour, although arguable, was on purpose.
We need better documentation :-)
I'll post comments to the other bug (bug 234468)
