Created attachment 136716 [details] Screenshot of dialogs with question mark icon not mirrored Build ID: I20080617-2000 Steps To Reproduce: 1.Launch Eclipse with the "-nl ar" switch, or run an arabic version. 2.Have eclipse pop up a dialog box that uses the question mark flag. (Ex: try to delete a file from a java project and have it ask you to confirm). 3.Notice that the question mark is not "mirrored" (flipped horizontally) as it should be in Arabic. More information: This was noticed in a IBM Lotus Domino Designer Arabic translation build. Any Eclipse/SWT dialog that uses the question mark style does not change the question mark icon appropriately to adapt to the Arabic style.
For most dialogs we use SWT.ICON_QUESTION and org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Display.getSystemImage(int) Does SWT provide the images, or are they simply requested from the OS? PW
Not for 3.5 FH to confirm the problem on an Arabic machine.
Created attachment 136840 [details] hebrew desktop screenshot Note that the question mark icon in the start menu is not mirrored.
SWT uses the icons from the System, if the System doesn't mirrored these icons it means that is right platform behaviour. Closing as WONTFIX.
