Using Eclipse classic 3.5 M7 I installed the subversive plugins incl. connectors. Next time eclipse starts it shows a bogus category under preferences: "Integrated Agent Controller" and corresponding errors are logged: * Invalid preference page path: Integrated Agent Controller * Cannot resolve IAC bundle ID org.eclipse.tptp.platform.ac.linux_ia32 * Access to IAC configuration file is denied. Subversive is versions 0.7.8 / 2.2.0 Considering that the Integrated Agent Controller seems to relate to TPTP (correct me if I'm wrong) I only found two traces of TPTP in my installation: * org.eclipse.tptp.platform.iac.administrator_4.4.201.v200903200100.jar * org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller_4.2.300.v200904250100 The problem could either be: * eclipse classic simply ships with an inconsistent set of plugins (why are TPTP plugins included to begin with?) * subversive triggers access to this part of TPTP where it should not. Reporting against subversive, because prior to installing subversive this error did not occur.
Cc'ing Navid to check whether this could be a renaissance of bug 182735 which mentions the exact same error message.
Pascal, could this be related to what happened in bug 277622? I'm no longer convinced about a causal relation to subversive. Did installation pull in something else that triggered the bug? How can we find out, what exactly p2 pulled in behind the curtains?

Stephan please move to RC2. Using M7 is of no help anymore.
(In reply to comment #4) > Stephan please move to RC2. Using M7 is of no help anymore. You're not saying we should now ignore all bugs that are older than one week, are you? ;-) I migrated our features to RC1 just a few days ago. I will have to shut up then because I'll always be a few days behind. Note that any experience we can report wrt updating will *always* refer to a previous build from where to update to something more recent. So reports of updating from RC1 to RC2 wouldn't be any help either? Thats the hottest I could possibly achieve (if p2 were the only concern to consider during release planning).
>So reports of updating from RC1 to RC2 wouldn't be any help either? I'm not saying it is not. It is useful. I'm saying that for example there are wellknown problems in RC1 or M7 that got fixed and that it is likely that you are just being annoyed by them.
