Description David Green CLA 2009-05-11 23:44:00 EDT
Currently selecting an installed feature in the discovery UI causes an error in P2.
Some things that we could do:

* filter the feature from the discovery UI
* allow feature detection, but do not select it when finish is pressed unless the version available in the repository is newer
Comment 1 David Green CLA 2009-05-13 00:29:47 EDT
Per today's discussion they should always be filtered out. Users should use the 'Check for Updates' p2 feature to keep their systems up to date.

Comment 4 David Green CLA 2009-05-20 10:11:08 EDT
filter does not appear to be working
Comment 5 David Green CLA 2009-05-20 11:30:31 EDT
Actually the filter is working perfectly. Note that this cannot be tested using self-hosted plug-ins, since features in the workspace don't show up as installed in the hosted instance.

It might be helpful to the user if we could display a message somewhere in case the list is empty (i.e. all plug-ins are already installed).
