Hasan,

Thanks! Tom seems to have done the same thing in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=262160

Is this a copy of the bean observables modified to work with EMF, as in Tom's patches? In both cases, the EMFObservables class seems to have been reformatted making it difficult to see what's been added/changed... Are there any differences between your and Tom's approach that are important you think?

Yes,

It has all the bells and whistles that BeanProperties has.

1) Overloaded methods removed as EStructuredFeature gives equivalent declaratins with Class

2) Supports nested features like "parent.property.subproperty" as EStructuredFeature[]

3) Comments altered

As far as I can tell it mimics the functionality completely.

As for the Tom's patch,

I must admit, I hadn't been able to locate the bug before I got down to write mine.

I can't observe Tom's right now but maybe in the next week.

My implementation does not modify EMFObservables. The current implementation merely adds the overloaded couple of calls with no Realm.

I would like to add a new version that uses the listeners from EMFObservableList EMFObservableMap, but since the bug is closed I cannot.

Should I drop working on that, add to the other bug?

Waiting for your directions...

Hasan,

Yes, please attach data binding properties related stuff to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=262160
