There is no content provider provider available for Java source folder of Dynamic Web Projects. See the attached screenshot. 

This is valid for both Web 2.4 and Web 2.5. 
Like before, the reason might be again breaking changes in the Common Navigator.

We are close to releasing 3.1 M6. This is quite severe loss of functionality for this stage of development.

This is probably a dup of bug 268250, fix for that is coming soon and will be in today's Ibuild.
