Currently the only button in common to all of the about installation pages is OK (or Close, if we rename it). There are other commands that the user might want to access at any time, regardless of page. - Copy to clipboard - Export configuration info to file - Open error log ...things that aid the user in providing info about the system. 1) should we provide these? 2) if so, how do they appear? (a) common actions in a toolbar, page actions in the button row (b) separate row of buttons for page vs. common (c) appearing together in a common button row with placeholders for each type, and space to visually separate
With the revamp of the about contribution mechanism, the common toolbar concept is going away. What's left is to consider providing support for common clipboard operations (copy and select all) in the pages. I opened bug 266186 before remembering this one (sorry for the noise) so I'll mark this a sup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 266186 ***
