Our outgoing change decorations are much too subtle.  While the incoming highlighting works reasonably well, the color is a bit off on some default schemes like Vista.  We should revisit both coloring and an icon-based decoration mechanism.

Also problematic is the default highlightin that takes place on OSx. It always looks as though every attribute has changed since the changed highlight is so similar to the default highlight cobo boxes get.

At least the whole field isn't highlighted by default, and only when there is incoming.  Leo's work around is to change the incoming highlight color (via, Window > Preferences > General > Appearance > Fonts and Colors > Tasks > Task Editor - Incoming...)

Leo also pointed out that you can change the OSX system wide highlight via system properties and leave the Mylyn incoming highlight as is.

Raising the priority of this in the backlog since I think it has a good cost/benefit profile.
