To support the enhancement for bug #206104, need a UI design proposal on how best to expose this feature to the report developer in the report designer UI.
Perhaps add a new context menu item on a data source element in the Data Explorer? It needs to be clearly distinctive from the existing feature that "Export to Library..."

After discussion option 2 in mockup is preferred, Further testing will focus on bug #206104, mark this bug as verified.
