I have moved this over to Java EE tools, as I don't think this is a validation framework problem.

(I hope I selected the right component :-) )

This was also reproduced while smoke testing

Same thing on ejb-jar.xml for both 2.1 and 3.0 projects.

Even after restarted the problem remains.

Kiril, in what way is this "critical", where critical means "crashes, loss of data, severe memory leak"? I think maybe you mean "major" but "must be fixed since it's a regression" which would be coded using the priority field? Or, am I missing something.

David we can always change the priority field.

This for sure is a major bug. It is critical only for releasing the build.

After taking another look at this, I think this should be handled by Source Editing- the problem here, as shown in the first warning in the screen shot, is that it could not read http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd - I don't see that file in org.eclipse.wst.standard.schema ... should it be there?
Comment 7 Valentin Baciu CLA 2009-03-24 16:09:13 EDT
Kiril, is this still an issue with the latest WTP driver? You've opened the bug against 3.0.3 but in the opening comment you mention 3.1.

Carl, the plug-in org.eclipse.wst.xsd.core is contributing to the XML catalog a local uri for http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd. The uri points to this schema platform:/plugin/org.eclipse.xsd/cache/www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd - basically a cached version shipped with the org.eclipse.xsd (XSD Infoset model) plug-in.

I have tried the scenario and seems to work. Please open with more information if still a problem.

Haven`t seen this for a while. I will again try to reproduce it.

Please feel free to re-open if still an issue.
