this is how it looks while i am trying to import the .zip file i.e.tableviewer.zip

i had imported a zip while doing an SWT project like "swt-3.3.1.1-win32-win32-x86.zip" ..but now i am unable to add any(ANY zip or rar) file..i am able to select the zip file but in the window it doesn't show anything,hence i am unable to finish the task..

Please help.

Which version? This works for me using 3.4.x and 3.5 M4.
Can you attach tableviewer.zip?

I suspect that the .project file is missing in the zip file.

If that is the case, then the wizard should at least give a warning/info message that there are no projects in the zip file to import.

    Was there a .project file in the zip? If you can attach the zip file, I can try reproducing the bug.

I think the problem is that the zip file doesn't contain any .project file. The confusion could have been avoided, if the wizard gives a warning. Updating the summary accordingly.
