Modelplex (https://www.modelplex.org/) is an european project to use Model Driven Engineering (MDE) to manage complex systems.

Regardless of their application domain, most complex systems have to integrate with existing software assets. Knowledge discovery supports the derivation of models of these legacy applications with focus on interoperability concerns.

To represent different level of abstraction we could use different models. And a model could be conformed to a specific metamodel or to a standard metamodel (like KDM or UML).

An exemple of knowledge discovery from a java application could be :

1. Discover java application code to a java model conforms to a specific metamodel (J2SE5) without loss of informations.

2. Convert this specific model to a standard model trying to loose less informations as possible. We use KDM as a central metamodel.

3. Convert KDM model to UML model to visualize it into graphical editors.

4. Creates a transformation chain to obtain an UML model from java application with an highlighting of relationships conforms to a pattern.

Dear all,

The sources of the contributed plugins have just been committed onto the MoDisco SVN.

Please, could you provide me some descriptions of your contribution applying the usual template?

Best regards,

Hugo
