Difficult to describe this one... basically I have seen the annotations suddenly disappear from a project in the sense that they are no longer visible in the Annotation Property View and neither do any of the label or icon decorations or replacements function... but only for that project, other projects that are open are ok. Now if I look in the annotation files, everything looks ok.

This has happened a couple of times, but I have no idea what caused it to happen.

Ok - so a delete of the INDEX directory for the annotations sorts this out

Looks like index was corrupted and TAF didn't catch this. There is why index rebuilding fix this problem. Did you get any exceptions from the TAF?
