I got this error when I tried to use the quickfix for creating a missing method.
I had: Util.getOrdinalValue(((SingleNameReference) constantExpression).binding) in my code where the getOrdinalValue(..) is not yet defined. So I got a compile error.
I chose the quickfix to create the method.
The method has been created, but I got an error dialog during this operation. Checking the .log file I could see this stack trace.
