Steps To Reproduce:
There are a few minor logic/timing errors within the help code relative to the activity manager listener that may reference a field that initializes after the listener is set up and is torn down before the listener is removed. In addition, if the search view doesn't completely initialize, trying to remove the view causes further exceptions. A possible patch is attached.
