R3.4. In 99% of the cases when debugging I'm interested in the variable values and hence have the Variables view in front (default Debug perspective). Now, often I quickly want to disable (and then again enable) all breakpoints. In order to do this I have to switch to the Breakpoints view to click the 'Skip All Breakpoints' icon. It would be good to have this in the Variables view's local toolbar as well.
Note: the action is in the top level "Run" menu an can be assigned a key-binding.
I know but I am a mouse user and going to the menu and scroll all the way down is much more pain than clicking the toolbar button.

ran across this old bug while researching something else … i would vote against adding a breakpoint-specific behavior to any other views, and thus would recommend closing this as "WONTFIX". just a recipe for too much clutter in too many other views. i have set a key-binding, and it's very easy, particularly when you've set a key-binding to set a key-binding. 1) Window>Preferences 2) enter "Keys" in the overall prefs filter or go to "General>Keys" 3) enter "Skip All Breakpoints" in the "Keys" filter 4) click on "Skip All Breakpoints" 5) click in the "Binding" field 6) enter a binding (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+B) if you don't have any conflicts, that's it.
Another vote for top-level toolbar?
(In reply to comment #5) > Another vote for top-level toolbar? It's one of the actions I'd like to see in a Debug main toolbar.
(In reply to comment #5) > Another vote for top-level toolbar? if we have a debug top-level toolbar, i'd vote for this. until a top-level toolbar is implemented, what if we had a default key-binding (as i mentioned in comment #4)? Alt-F8 still isn't taken; F8 is currently resume, and Alt-F8 would fit together nicely with it. i currently use ctrl-alt-shift-B, since that's close to ctrl-shift-B which is toggle breakpoint. i would think adding a default key binding going forward would be a lot easier (politically if not implementation-wise) than adding a top level toolbar. but whatever else is true, it doesn't belong at all in the "Variables View".
I'm against adding a default key binding for this but agree that we should rather consider a main toolbar than adding more stuff to individual Debug views. Suggest to close this bug as duplicate of bug 258767.
