Description Bill Muldoon CLA 2008-07-23 10:06:25 EDT
Currently the UI requires the user to know the security requirements of the data managers and to manually set the credentials in the data manager properties before using the DM.

The UI can now determine the DM security requirements by using the securityNamespace value in the Broker. For example, if the securityNamespace value is "http://www.eclipse.org/cosmos/security", then it should know to prompt the user for credentials on the first attempt to access the DM. When the user enters the credentials, the UI updates the properties with these values.

This ER can not be contained in i13. Moving this ER out of i13.

Note that it is currently possible for users to specify the security credentials. This ER is to improve this mechanism.
