Build ID: I20080617-2000 Steps To Reproduce: 1. Download http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/subversive/0.7/builds/Subversive-incubation-0.7.1.I20080612-1500.zip 2. Install under Ganymede 3. Try and install some other plugin or remove subversive plugin. Is there a work around for this? The connectors update-site includes Win32 binaries features. Please do not select them while performing the installation. And if you do not have native binaries of JavaHL installed on your machine, install only SVN Kit connectors.
Oh, so you were trying to install PDT? Very strange behavior from update-manager. Cause I don't think that any of PDT features require SVN connectors. Subversive itself also doesn't have such requirement.
Yes, it consistently comes up when I try and install PDT. I was hoping there was a way to get rid of this dependency without blowing away my eclipse install and starting again.
If I understand you quite well, you have just installed the Subversive plug-in without connectors. If it is so, please try to install Subversive connectors (http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site/ or http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/builds/Subversive-connectors-2.0.1.I20080612-1500.zip ) without JavaHL libraries and then again try to install PDT. Maybe it can help.
Same error is happening when I try to install/uninstall * any * plug-in from Update Manager. I'm using Mac OS 10.5.4 and Eclipse Version: 3.4.0 / Build id: I20080617-2000 and Subversive 0.7.1
*** Bug 240093 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
We've received reports about successful installations of the Subversive plug-in into the Ganymede in Mac OS X environment. At the installation time a user faced with the problem described in bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=239449 in result of which not all required features are listed on the Subversive update site. In order to avoid this problem please use "Refresh" button or try to install Subversive from an archived update site. Also please don't try to install Win32 binaries in Mac OS X environment.
So does the problem still exist?
Closing the bug.
