The user can not press the esc keyboard button to close the Full deregistration/registration dialog box.
Targeting to i12 since this is not a stop ship bug.
This appears to only be a problem in IE, using Firefox I am unable to reproduce this problem with the latest candidate build. My steps are as follows: 1) Right click on "Sample Repository with Registration" 2) Click "Register Configuration Items..." 3) Press Esc The dialog disappears but not in IE However, following these steps appear to show another bug. If I then try to repeat the process at step 1. No dialog appears.
Len, this sounds very similar to an issue solved in a previous iteration. I can't find the exact bugzilla, so I can't tell if this is a regression, or just a case of same bug different place, or a false association due to my faulty memory, but I suggest you talk to Martin and Bill. (JT is out until Wednesday). In any case, pursue this new symptom, as this is worst than the original bug reported.

I think the partial registration/deregistration dialogs work. You might just need to add similar code in the full registration/deregisration dialogs.
Just looked at the partial registration and deregistration dialogs and they are showing similar behaviour. That is, once the Esc key is pressed and the dialog disappears it will not display again if you try the same operation, and it happens in IE or Firefox.
I have tested today with the latest build and neither the original problem nor the one that I reported yesterday can be reproduced. I then went back to the build from the 17th that I used yesterday and I could not reproduce it either. I have given both builds a thorough workout with IE and Firefox and the only time the dialog would not close is if it has not got focus, which is correct behaviour. Now I know that it happened yesterday as I had a witness and I tried it several times on two separate machines so I am not sure what is going on, but I cannot reproduce this bug or the other one that I reported today. Think these symptoms may indeed be happening randomly but it may be dependant on the current state of your pc, but I am unable to determine the actual cause. Will keep an eye on this and test regularly with various builds and if it does not reappear then I will close it unless somebody has some exact steps to reproduce.
Unable to reproduce this problem so closing as advised.
Verified bug in build COSMOS-1.0.0-200807241123
