This is a general logging bug to make sure that we go over the data visualization component and make sure that the code logs the appropriate message and uses the logging mechanism. http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_Logging
Reassigning to JT as discussed in DV call
Any System.out or System.err statements should be replaced with the logger. The messages should be externalized. The keys for the message should following a naming convention specified in this document: http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_Logging#Naming_Convention_for_Message_Keys Bug 236720 should probably be done during the last week of the iteration to go through this check lists. These however do not include System.out references in 'main' methods which are only used for testing purposes. - JT
Current UI related code changes relating to this have been checked in. Leaving bug open so that at the final stages of the iteration, accommodations can be made for non-compliant code checked in between now and then. - JT
Marking this bug as fixed. Future logging issues can have their own bug. - JT
Really marking it fixed....:-)
Verified with build (COSMOS-1.0.0-200808271150)
