Description Olivier Thomann CLA 2008-05-29 10:18:14 EDT
The dialog that shows the provisioning plan results doesn't resize well.
The part that shows the details should be resizable without having to resize the whole dialog. A sash form between the first panel (that contains the feature to install) and the details panel would solve this issue.
The panel that contains the features to install or to update is too big.
I can provide screenshots if this is not clear enough.

This is a good idea for 3.4.1.
Long term we hope to make these messages a lot more user friendly (and shorter).

I did as Olivier suggested and added a SashForm to separate the list of installed items and the sizing total from the details area.

It is a bit odd because the sizing info label has no border, and the border for the details group is a group border which is not drawn at the outer edge of the group composite. So there are no real borders on either side of the sash to help delineate the sections. I tried adding a separator label, and this looked even worse, because the sash activated in the area underneath the separator and it felt really strange. Two separators caused too much visual clutter.

In the end, I added the sash form and added no other cues. In the 3.5 stream we are going to revisit the presentation of size anyway, and at that time we can come up with a visual that looks better with the sash form.

Fixed in HEAD >20080728.

Note the addition of this sash is not obvious at all, but for the 3.4.1 stream it's better than nothing.
