Description David Whiteman CLA 2008-05-23 11:56:45 EDT
The toolkit will need some facility for entering the new data manager properties proposed in bug 233690. Probably will result in more fields on the MDR wizard page of the query service facet.

Hubert says: at a minimum, we will need 1 or 2 files added to the web project. I will give you the details later.

Will need to wait for Example MDR to be updated with the 2 new config files. Then we can update the toolkit to add those files to every MDR project it creates. The config values can be blank or with "CHANGEME" values (coupled with comments for what the values should be) as an initial implementation, since we don't have time for a nice UI in this iteration. The user would have to hand-edit those files before deploying the MDR, until we provide a UI for configuring them initially.
Comment 3 David Whiteman CLA 2008-07-25 12:41:38 EDT
The basic implementation is done (empty config.properties file is generated). I will create a separate ER to create UI fields for entering these values, and possibly generating values where appropriate, so it's less likely that users won't forget to do this.

Created bug 242097 for followup work in a future iteration.
