The Navigator view should support undo/redo for actions such as delete, rename, move.
Not for 2.1, defer.
Investigate for 2.2
Reassigning to Nick since he is taking ownership of Navigator
I'll take this one for now as part of investigating bug #86753.

investigate for M5
moving to M6. I've done some prototyping, enough to feel that API additions are not needed in the undo framework for M5. Will pursue further in M6.
moving to RC1 for final decision on how much undo to release
unfortunately the RC1 cycle is only 10 days and there is not enough time to ensure proper testing and get feedback on the feature. I will pick this back up in early 3.3. Removing milestone.
marking for 3.3. Latest thinking is that marker undo will be released independently (M1-ish). Then move/copy/rename/delete. Then work with other teams for higher level ops.
marker support is now in. working on resource create/delete/modify for M2...
marking M3, it's too risky to put the move/delete operations in at the end of M2. I will release the move/delete API classes so the API can be examined, but won't have the IDE actions using these until the issues for validation and chaining are clearer.
Released to HEAD >20061021. Released changes to the basic actions and wizards so that undo is now available when moving, creating, renaming, copying, or deleting files, folders, and projects. Note that you must be trying these operations from the Navigator (Resource Perspective) to see the function. Depending on the implementation of similar actions in other views (such as Package Explorer) you may or may not see the behavior.
verified via presence of the undo function in I20061031-0656, Win XP - and all the bugs that come in with folks testing it ;-)
