Description Tetsuro Asahata CLA 2002-09-04 13:32:54 EDT
File Import Wizard imports fillowing file to default package,
if I only choose the file.

Test.java
   package com.xyz;
   public class Test {}

To place the above code to proper package (com.xyz),
it seems that I need to place the file, which will be imported,
under com\xyz folder.

I'd like to import the above file to com.xyz package,
without prepareing com\xyz folder, since VAJ can.
Comment 1 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2002-09-05 04:45:23 EDT
This is a general issue since the file importer doesn't know anything about
Java (it is a generic importer provided by the platform). We are currently
investigating How to make the file importer more open.

Chaning state from assigned later to resolved later. Assigned later got
introduced by the last bug conversion and is not a supported Eclipse bug state.
Comment 4 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2009-08-30 02:38:57 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
