The automated scan has found that several COSMOS plugins are missing their about.html files. They need to be added in. There are two types of COSMOS plug-ins: 1. Those that contain only .java files, written by COSMOS developers, that are licensed under the EPL. 2. Those that contain work that is not licensed under the EPL (such as Apache), or special conditions such as disassembler code, cryptography, etc. Plug-ins that fall in the first category should have an about.html file added as per the standard About file template: http://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl/about.php Plug-ins that fall into the second category require special about.html files. I will provide a copy of these files. Please provide to me a list of the plug-ins that require special about.html files. We cannot Release or Graduate COSMOS without these legal files in place.
Ruth: Should I start working on item 1 now or in i11. Currently we are cvs lockdown. Or get the approval to work on this bug.
Created attachment 98918 [details] Missing About_html
Added missing About.html in the plugins (Mentioned in the sheet 2 of the attached excel sheet) in the recent build (COSMOS-1.0.0-200805061359).
*** Bug 232156 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Setting target milestone to i11. Please retarget if necessary.
Moving all open bugzillas that are targeted to iterations in the past to the next iteration (i13).
Changing this from a blocker to a P1/critical.
Ruth, does the "Missing_About_html" spreadsheet attached to this bug accurately reflect which HTMLs are missing? Should we use http://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl/about.php as the template? Jack Devine
Hi John, I haven't looked at the file, but it should now be obsolete now that I've checked in the special about files. In the next build, we should get a new report that identifies which plug-ins are missing about files. Thanks, Ruth.
note that so far I have checked in the changes to just the 1.0.0 branch.
argh. I can't get the about files to commit to CVS. I'll ask for help tomorrow.

Changes checked into the 1.0 branch and HEAD.
