I suggest adding some predefined queries for the SML and the test federating CMDB.  

For the test federating CMDB, it's useful to have a query that get all items and relationships.

For the SML repository, you can add queries for computer systems, etc.

Ali can you suggest some  CMDB queries that I can add to the SML repository.  I'm not sure if the existing SML queries are good examples to show.

There is really not that many interesting queries we can do with the current data the SML repository is packaged with.  There is a defect open to package the full data center sample with the SML repository:  https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=223273.  I suggest making this defect dependent on 223273.

We can decide on query requests once we have a richer data set to work with.

Made this bug depend on Bug 223273 and target to future.  

For now I added the all item, relationship query to the CMDBf and added a simple query for the SML repository.

Fix checked into CVS - HEAD.
I've defined three queries based on the new content that was checked in for the SML repository.
