Re: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/phoenix-dev/msg00868.html

Ideas for measuring conversion - conversion is the percent of people who arrive at our site and then exit through one of:

Easy for individuals to find and download different Eclipse distros and builds

    * Download a distro or build

Easy for members and others to adopter Eclipse project technology

    * Click through to a project mailing list or newsgroup
    * Download a project ip log
    * View the master timeline

Information source on how to use and adopt Eclipse technology

    * Download a resource from the resources page
    * Download a webcast or audio from live page

Promote wider Eclipse ecosystem and be valuable marketing resource for members

    * Click through to a member website
    * Read a page with an announcement or press release announcing a member company or product
    * Click through to a resource on the community page or sub-pages

Facilitate growth of Eclipse projects

    * Edit a wiki page
    * File a bug; search bugzilla

Now that we have the measurables, we need to define how to actually get the numbers. What tools do we need?

I believe Matt and Nathan have a copy of (Piwik?) installed, so we can review that on our next call, and try to map out the data.

I've been told that Janet and team won't have time to work on the Google Analytics legal question until after Ganymede.

Just an update, Google Analytics cleared legal review and has been added to eclipse.org pages.

The scope of this bug is unclear to me.
