Description Joe Thomas-Kerr CLA 2008-04-22 23:03:15 EDT
It would be excellent if it was possible to "tag" local history in the same way that CVS is tagged. This would make regression testing much easier because you could (for example) tag a known working state and revert the entire project (or workspace) to that point in the local history with a single action.

It would also be very helpful to revert to the state of a project at a certain date/time. For example "I know it was working yesterday afternoon, so I will go back to then and work forward from there".

These actions are often conducted using CVS. However, I believe that it would be very beneficial to implement them on local history as well since this is generally much more fine grained, and doesn't have the policy constraints that many corporate CVS repositories are subject to.

Local history is owned by Platform Resources.

See bug 221835. I think it is a similar issue. Please add new comments there. Thank you.
