I downloaded sleak from wget http://www.eclipse.org/swt/tools/org.eclipse.swt.sleak_1.0.2.zip and dropped the org.eclipse.swt.sleak_1.0.0.200803140904.jar plugin into the dropins folder. The Software updates can't find it, not even on a refresh. I tried creating it as dropins/sleak/eclipse/plugins/org....jar as well, but nothing. PW
But restarting eclipse provided the plugin ... it was simlpy the dialog refresh that couldn't find it. PW
Simon, wasn't there discussion about making this repo hidden/system? Or if it is not hidden, are we marking the content as groups and/or roots?
Just to be clear, the bundle and view are there on the first start when I dropped it into build N20080420-2000, I think this is just a presentation issue with things in the drop-ins not appearing in the dialog.
agree, I believe it to be an issue of the properties we are/are not setting on the found content.
Making dropins hidden is in bug 224425. Susan is this a dup?
Turns out this is actually a dup of bug 227547. Paul tried to dropin something after Eclipse had started up and expected it to show up in the available features list. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 227547 ***
