Steps To Reproduce:
1. Download the M6 modeling package http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/M6/eclipse-modeling-ganymede-M6-macosx-carbon.tar.gz
2. Use the update manager to install Datatools from http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/
3. Restart eclipse


More information:
When Datatools is installed, it also installs ECF org.eclipse.ecf_2.0.0.v20080406-1615.jar and org.eclipse.ecf.filetransfer_2.0.0.v20080406-1615.jar

It appears that p2 depends on org.eclipse.ecf_2.0.0.v20080331-0800.jar, org.eclipse.ecf.filetransfer_2.0.0.v20080331-0800.jar, org.eclipse.ecf.identity_2.0.0.v20080331-0800.jar, and org.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer_2.0.0.v20080331-0800.jar

After the restart p2 will no longer work.

This problem appears to be specific to p2 and not Datatools.  A p2 bugzilla is already open on this problem.
