Description quartz quartz CLA 2002-08-22 10:47:16 EDT
The keyboard shortcuts must be configurable. (Who the h*ll put the fast-find
(that you call find-next) to ctrl-k? It requires both hands! Anyway...)

This is not specific for the editor.

No need to get so angry...believe me, we did not pick those accelerator keys
just to annoy you.

What exactly are you recommending? There is a preference to select the active
key mapping configuration. Are you asking for a UI to customize each
accelerator key assigned to actions?

By the way, I can press ctrl+k using only my right hand...what keyboard layout
are you using?

Ok, sorry for the tone. I was "acting".. ;-)
So you are a lefty? Hehehe. 'cause right hand = mouse for me...

Yeah, just like in any good software, all keyboard shortcuts can be configured.
I mean, maybe not all stuff like menu bars, and dialogs control (leave that to
the os, of course). But if you can do it for a few actions, you can do it for
all, no?

That would include external tools, and macros (which are yet to be included in
the editor).

Thanks.
