Copied from bug 214796:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable proxy authentication
2. Enter a username and a pass
3. Disable proxy auth (ie. uncheck the checkbox)
4. Click Apply/Ok
=> Take a look at your Error Log, the exception should be there.
