Eclipse Report Designer should provide UI to manipulate report orientation settings upon report document creation, and to alter these settings in the Property editor later on. Refer to attachment 92044 [details] or attachment 93940 [details] (section 3.2.1).

Code changes for this bug will be submitted as soon as the patch for the bug it depends on (bug 225140) is committed. For the time being, I added screen captures (attachment 94846 [details] and attachment 94849 [details]) that demonstrate the expected visible outcome of the future code submission: 1. A new property named "Bidi Layout Orientation" will be added to the general and advanced properties of the report Property editor. 2. The property will have two available choices: "Left To Right" and "Right To Left" (with the default of "Left To Right"). 3. The property value specified in the report design XML will match that shown in the Property editor. Note: visualization of this property in the Layout editor (flipping the canvas) is not in the scope of this bug.
