Description Boris Bokowski CLA 2008-04-02 17:15:11 EDT
We have a case where the Javadoc specifies a static field as a constant but it was not marked "final" in the baseline. I would like to add the "final" modifier now but I was not able to ignore this using the project-specific settings.
Comment 1 Olivier Thomann CLA 2008-04-02 17:17:59 EDT
This should be doable, but my change very soon due to the bug 224456.
Comment 2 Olivier Thomann CLA 2008-04-02 21:16:42 EDT
The description of the preference was mixed up. This is now fixed.
You actually need to ignore two options:
- the 'final' keyword has been added
- the constant value has been added
Both in the Field section.
Comment 3 Olivier Thomann CLA 2008-04-02 21:47:04 EDT
Closing as FIXED even if the way the preferences are used will be reviewed for bug 224456.

Released for 3.4M7.
Darin, please verify that the description now corresponds to the right preference.
You can use the test case from bug 225463.
