Description Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2008-03-31 17:52:47 EDT
Current grouping of available features don't work too well with old-style update sites. It would help if available features UI would provide option to group available features by originating update site

example of several classic update sites imported into p2 ui

Here is an example of several classic update sites imported into p2 ui. As you can see, it shows feature groups that lost context and meaningful sorting because structure of the classic update sites been crafted around old grouping mechanisms.

This is planned via bug #216028.

Susan, I just want to say that this seem like quite critical issue from the end-user point of view, especially when they have multiple classic update sites migrated from the old update manager to the new p2 ui (see attached screenshot).

I realize this is unsatisfying for old update users. It is planned for M7, that's the best I can say until it's implemented. ;-) Right now my focus is on any bugs that prevent new p2 M6 adopters from using their old sites at all.
