Description Kathy Chan CLA 2008-03-29 08:58:04 EDT
Driver: wtp-sdk-I-I20080329055928-20080329055928.zip

1. Install Tomcat 5.5 server runtime.
2. Create dynamic Web project targetting Tomcat 5.5.
3. Select the Web project and "Run on Server".

Got error saying that the resource is not available. I had tried to create the server and start it first and also restarting but did not help.

I'm not sure I understand ... don't you need an "index.html" file, or similar "default" content defined for this scenario to work? I think "resource not available" is the correct behavior, since we do not create index.html by default.

Am I missing the point?

I'm seeing a problem where the browser itself just doesn't open automatically. Is that happening to you as well, Kathy?

I at first got this problem when trying to do "Run on Server" on a project with the Axis2 facet added (which added a default page). Then I tried to do it with a project without adding the Axis2 facet to see if the problem is there. That's when I got confused and thought that there's a general problem with Run on Server. I retried the scenario today and verify that Run on Server works OK on html file. Now when I tried the Axis2 scenario, that works fine too. So I'm just canceling this defect for now. I still suspect we have an intermittent problem with Axis2 Web app. I'll open a seperate defect if that problem surface again.
