The platform is Eclipse 2.0 under SuSE Linux 7.3 (SWT is Motif)When I search for updates from within a firewall (eclipse was started without any proxy parameter), eclipse tries to open a connection to the eclipse web site without success (which is normal, since it doesn't use a proxy). Thisoperation can't be canceled: eclipse keeps trying to get the connection andif you press on cancel, the cancel button becomes inactive, but it doesn'tcancel anything. Since the dialog is modal, you have to wait 5-10min that it gives up. Ideally the cancel button should work, or the timout should not be so long,so that the user doesn't have to kill the application to be able to continue his work.
