Description Nick Edgar CLA 2002-07-22 12:19:30 EDT
R2.0

There was a recent newsgroup post "Where is the documentation on command line
arguments?".
A couple of people pointed him at the relevant doc.
However, this is hard to find.

eclipse.exe should print a summary of the command line arguments if run with -
?, /?, -help, or /help, and this should include a pointer to the appropriate
section in the doc (and maybe even a URL).

Seems reasonable. Summary of arguments.

Nick,

Agreed that having help from the command line would be very nice. However, the
launcher is not aware of all the arguements that are possible and further, the
information will need to be internationalized.

How can we resolve this? What if Eclipse Main handles the "help" argument and
prints out the required information? Can we provide some sort of
infrastructure for adding new comand line argument documentation?
