Changes to use in a null progress monitor rather than null.

Since it calls

  ModalContext.run

which does

  Assert.isTrue(operation != null && monitor != null);

it's not acceptable to pass in null.  NullProgressMonitor works better.

Thanks for the patch, changes applied to CVS HEAD
