Steps To Reproduce:
1. Start Eclipse
2. Select 'Link with Editor' in Package Explorer
3. Restart Eclipse
4. Setting is forgotten


More information:
This happens both in my custom perspective and in the default Java perspective.  I am running on a Mac.

Do you have Mylyn installed? Is this a duplicated of bug 195238?
