it would make sense make TaskRepository auth extendable, for example, take into the account use cases when authorization not need any user name/password, but require a private key to be specified

As a first pass I have renamed WebCredentials to AuthenticationCredentials and made AuthenticationType a top-level class. I am open to discuss further generalization for 2.2 but I currently don't have the resources to propose and implement the API.
