Although nested Embeddables should already be supported in EclipseLink the goal of this enhancement request is to ensure through testing and removal of potential metadata validation that nested embeddables are supported in EclipseLink JPA.

Existing JPA2 Nested Embeddable Test Model

Returning to JPA 2.0 nested embeddable work - the following test framework in org.eclipse.persistence.testing.models.jpa.complexaggregate used in org.eclipse.persistence.testing.tests.jpa.complexaggregate.NestedAggregateTest may be extended.

Testing of the existing model [org.eclipse.persistence.testing.models.jpa.complexaggregate.HockeyTeam] has been run through the debugger and verified against the requirements in 2.0 spec and the design doc at...

Any additional requirements or future issues against nested embeddables can reopen or reference this bug when we run the TCK.

Changing status to WONTFIX since no code changes were done.
