improve usability and accessibility of the mark/read action. Currently it is only available from the 2nd level submenu which don't even have any accelerators, which makes real pain to review large number of incoming changes.
Do you have a recommended accelerator you would like? We can add that right away.
Accelerators won't help much if you going to keep the 2nd level menu. Compare to Synchronize view for example, I could use Shift-F10, u or v (or WinMenu, u) to update from CVS.
Do you want a key binding for the action in the meantime? E.g. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R or something shorter if you can come up with a reasonable one that has no conflict.

That would be better then nothing, but can you please create binding context for the Task List and use 2 key shortcuts that would work only in the Task List? I.e. Ctrl-R, or maybe something that email apps are using.
Eugene, has this been addressed as part of bug 205886 or is there anything left to do here?
Almost. Need to add accelerators to the popup menu - "&Mark..."
Adding accelarators is trivial, but it seems unconsistent if these are only added for these particular actions. Mik, what are your thoughts on this?

I can't get accelerator underlines to appear for context menus on Eclipse in Vista. Do these show in XP?
(In reply to comment #9) > I can't get accelerator underlines to appear for context menus on Eclipse in > Vista. Do these show in XP? Of course they are. There is a flag in XP themes configuration like "show accelerators only when Alt is pressed", I have it disabled.
We've addressed this via the Alt+R and Alt+U keyboard actions. No further plans to change the accelerators, but we can consider menu changes on bug 211012. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 205886 ***
Mik, Alt-R is a major usability issue because it is a conflicting shortcut with the main "Run" menu, this really need to be fixed, because right now Alt-R is not working for Run menu even when Task List view is not in focus.
Can you propose a better shortcut?
(In reply to comment #13) > Can you propose a better shortcut? I probably could. But even if I couldn't, it still should break standard platform shortcuts.
New key-bindings (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Mylyn/UI_Nits#Keybindings): Alt + Shift + R mark as read Alt + Shift + U mark as unread
