Created attachment 77011 [details] Patch to add 2 items to the context menu for copying to the clipboard Build ID: I20070625-1500 Steps To Reproduce: Hello, i've made this small patch to be able to copy (to the clipboard) the selection, or a subtree from the "Java Structure Compare" view. I've done this because i wasn't able to code an "automatic commit comment creator" from the the "Java Structure Compare" view (bug 89007 and bug 147686). Anyway, i hope you will accept it. More information:
Any comments ?
First of all, thanks for the patch. In my opinion, what you provided looks reasonable, however I would like wait awhile and get some feedback from other users.
On second thoughts I think that we should rehash bug 89007 and bug 147686 instead of adding an extra menu for copying subtrees. NoName please try to investigate bugs mentioned above and if you think you can handle them I will reopen one for cvs.

This patch could help while a better solution is found. The comment 4 of bug 147686 ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=147686#c4 ) says it's a hard work. I could be long before a solution is found.
It is an apt remark and I would like to have the possibility to use the java structure compare view in the commit comment. However, having in mind the effect you want to achieve I think this is a duplicate of bug 89007. I agree that bug 89007 could be a challenge however I think it is worth of spending more time to fix this issue instead of adding the extra menu. We don't have the manpower to face this out and I would appreciate if you could try to fix the root cause of the issue (bug 89007 and bug 147686), because you already have experience in this area. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 89007 ***
