In the Feature Updates view, when you expand a bookmark and the next level (I 
don't know what they are called, eg. "Eclipse SDK XXXXX"), the work appears to 
be happening in the UI thread -- busy cursor, no repaint.

A cancellable progress monitor should be used since this is a potentially very 
long operation, and the work shouldn't occur in the UI thread.

I assume it will time out eventually?
