Description Noam Chitayat CLA 2007-07-25 11:10:01 EDT
1) Right-click on an object, such as an Extension in the Extension tab of the Manifest Editor. Revert and Save should not appear.

2) Right-click anywhere in an editor outside of a viewer widget, such as directly to the right of the "Add..." button in the Extension tab. Revert and Save should appear, and this is correct behaviour.

Revert and Save are actions that occur in the context of an entire editor. The editors currently show these actions in all contexts, even in the context of an object. They should not appear when specific objects are right-clicked, but they should appear in other cases.

Currently, Revert and Save are provided by PDEFormEditorContributor whenever it adds clipboard operations to the context menus. Ideally, the contributor could selectively add the actions based on the context.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
