The java editor does not seem to understand the package-info.java format, roughly: /** * javadoc */ package foo; import X; 1. It places imports (cia organize imports, etc.) at the top of the file rather than after the package line. 2. It does not recognize the package scoped javadoc as javadoc: 2a. The javadoc preview view does not render it 2b. Reformat does not reformat it as if it were javadoc, e.g. wrapping and forcing leading *'s (in fact it seems to do nothing)
Please don't report two problems in one bug as this is a pain to manage. Also, please search bugzilla for similar bugs before filing a new one. >1. Please file a bug report against JDT Core that reports just the formatter problem.
(In reply to comment #1) > Please don't report two problems in one bug as this is a pain to manage. Fair enough, though maybe you guys need a split/clone feature. > Also, > please search bugzilla for similar bugs before filing a new one. Please provide such a feature through Help -> Report Bug. Seriously, I don't think you should place this onus on your users or they will simply not file any as it is too much trouble. > >2b.
